Introduction of the Subprime Mortgage crisis

  1. There are millions of economists working on financial crisis all over the world. They are trying to figure out the solution of it. The causes of this global problem are complex, each part of people have different thoughts. Before introducing this hot topic, I would like to ask a question” What is economics?” Basically, it is “”to use limited resources to fulfill the unlimited wants” Somehow we always lose control of ourselves when we are facing the lures. Because of the unlimited demand in our head, in another word-GREED
  2. Subprime mortgage means mortgage lenders lend money to people whose credit history is not sufficient to get a conventional mortgage. Often these borrowers have impaired or even no credit history. (http://useconomy.about.com/od/glossary/g/subprime_mortg.htm) Why are lenders glad to lend the money to these poor, discredit persons? Because lenders are able to adjust a higher interest rate and earn lots of profit on subprime loans, such as banks or the other financial organizations. Compared with good credit persons, discredit people have to pay more money on the higher rate. Although banks will take risk to lend money to discredit people, banks are able to sell their wealth by auction if they do not have enough money to pay the credits. In reality, the welfares are houses.
  3. In the beginning of the 2001, the Federal Fund Rate decreased rapidly. People lent money easier than before, due to the lower interest rate. This change encouraged more and more people to decide to buy extra houses by credit now and sell them at future to make profits. As the demand increased, the price of houses moved up too. People began to complain about the government and the house price. Some people were too “poor” to have an apartment, even used all of their wealth at that time. After that, government set the maximum house price in order to control the trend of rising house price meanwhile the Federal Fund Rate rebounded. This is the bad news for the people who decided to buy houses for making profits in the future. So they broke the contracts with the financial organizations, as the result many companies failed and went bankrupt.
  4. Subprime mortgage crisis is also affecting Chinese economics. Many experts say that “The house price in Shenzhen will decrease continually and generally.” (I was living there.)I have a different opinion from theirs. As I thought, the house price will becomes stable at an acceptable price. Because double the beauty, double the pay.

Some things I like~

  1. I like Angelina Jolie. In 2001,she became Refugees goodwill ambassador of the Department of the United Nations High Commissioner . She give love and charity to the world and give hope to refugees.
  2. In early years, she donated their 1/3 income to the refugee, and later set up the jolie-pitt charity fund. Endowment Fund has reached 200 million U.S. dollars to Ethiopia's AIDS prevention clinic, wildlife conservation project in Cambodia. She is an angel of love hearts of children.
  3. I like GONE WITH THE WIND. The film shows great about Americans struggle in the face of sdversity, the pursuit of personal independence, dignity, love, always be optimistic and enterprising. The performance is incisively and vividly.
  4. Scarlet, a middle-class family background of the weak woman, after unlucky in love, civil strife of war to reconstruction, daughter died, leaving her husband, and so a series of enormous difficulties and setbacks. But she rarely timid, time and again to re-live the initiative right back into their own hands. "After all, tomorrow is another day." which is the best life she was optimistic about the self-confession.
  5. I like HARUKI MURAKAMI.I like Norwegian Wood.Growth in the world is full of responsibility and unhappy. Haruki Murakami's novels the main characters were all young, They are unwilling to grow up, that grew up in mysterious ways, grew up in a totally unprepared, and be dead pull hard out of the past.
  6. People have a nostalgic psychology, especially when he lost. A person has gone through many personnel changes in mentality should be relatively mild, and the most memorable is precisely the situation a young man, a familiar song will make us think back to what ever like boys (girls) the appearance of a similar scene will let us remember the story of the years.
  7. Jiddu Krishnamurti (J. Krishnamurti 1895-1986) is India's well-known philosopher, in the West has a wide-ranging and far-reaching impact. He advocated purely personal comprehending the truth, must use their own light to illuminate their own. The teachings of his life are to help mankind from fear and ignorance in the complete relief an understanding of compassion .
  8. His 40 books, all speech without prepared and conversations have been translated into 47 languages.
  9. He often walk through the forest and sit under a tree. Realising the fundamental human problem that entangled lies. He often use a poem or description of the Indian woman do laundry by the river to lead you into his thinking world.
  10. I like Xi Murong, Mongolian poets. This is the translated for YOUTH:

All the results have been written down

All the tears have also left

but suddenly forget how it happend

the old summer which never comes back

No matter how I search

the young like you are only passing by

and your smile face likes the moonlight

disapears behind the mountains after the sunset

open the old yellow title page

It was binded poor by the fate

with tears, I read it once and once again

but have to admit

Youth is a book which is very hasty

Research on Memory

1. Many people are confused with the memory. They think that the better memory you have, the better you will do in study. What is the secret of the memory? Some psychologists devoted themselves to the study of memory.
2. At first, we define memory as “an organism's mental ability to store, retain, and recall information (From Wiki)”. The discussion about memory started in 1885. In 1885, a famous German psychologist called Hermann Ebbinghaus (January 24, 1850February 26, 1909) raised the discovery of Forgetting Curve which illustrates the decline of memory retention in time.
3. H. Ebbinghaus chose many words consisted of irregular letters, such as asww and cfhhj. He read them and tried to recite them. Then, he wrote down the number of the words he remembered everyday, and collection the data to draw a graphic.
4. The forgetting curve shows that a man tends to forget something regularly. At the beginning, he forgets the things quickly. Then the speed is slow down. Several days later, the memory becomes steady.
5. After the research of the forgetting curve, you will find that if you review what you learned yesterday, you will forget more slowly.
6. There are two kinds of uses in memory. One is explicit uses of memory and the other one is implicit uses of memory. Sometimes human will use both of them you remember.
7. For example, if you see a rabbit in a kitchen, you will find you can remember it quickly and steady, because that when you see the kitchen, in your memory you know what is usually in a kitchen except the rabbit, and the rabbit is extraordinary.
8. There are two kinds of memory as well. Declarative memory is about the memory of facts and events. Procedural memory is about how to do things. It is usually used in getting, keeping and using the skills you learned before when you do something.
9. For example, if you want to dial the phone number of one of your friend, you can recite it naturally. Of course, you take it for granted, but at the first time you dialed the phone number, you still need to remember one number after another. You might think that you need to dial 5, then 1, then 7 and so on. This action is called knowledge editing.
10. How to use memory well is still a topic everyone talks about. If you can use your memory scientifically, you will get a improved memory.

Work on Campus

1. As a survey indicates, most of international students hope and plan to get a job during they study in university. They think it could reduce the financial burden of parents. I don't know how many of you want to apply for a job on campus. In my opinion, applying a job on campus is a good choice.
2. Actually, a university stand for a small society, there is all kinds of departments of serving students. Besides, A variety of group around us. We have a lot of chance to choose a job that we like. Such as tutor, assistant, waiter, cleaner and guide and so on.
3. Especially as a foreigner. Owning an experience of work is good for us. First of all, you could have more chance to communicating with native speaker.
4. Secondly, you could learn much knowledge about your job, such as vocabulary, new expressions and some skills of work. Further more, you could get lots of culture and customs through working with your partners.
5. Thirdly, work can make full use of spare time. If you get a job, you don't have extra time to playing games, so it can avoid waste too much time on game.
6. However, some people might be question that work occupied a great deal of learning time. It affects the normal learning. Actually it might be affects your learning, but it can remind you that you don't have much time. I think that it could facilitate your learning, let you in a shorter period of time to complete the homework. It could make your learning more efficient.
7At last. You might be facing all kinds of problem from your job. You deal with these problems so that improving your ability of solving problem. It is a good experience for your future job.
8. Except above of these, we can get a lump sum of money to spend for our daily. Although we could not get so much money from this job, it enough to spend for our daily. Everyone knows that live and study in the United States is not a small amount of expenditure.
9. We could challenge ourself through work. It not only can get money but also can exercise ourself.Life need challenge to enrich. We also need to enhance their own through challenge.
10. If you want to get a job in cafeteria immediately, you can go to human being resource service office which is located in every cafeteria to apply a job.

Pollution Is Going To Eat Up Our World

1: with the progress of technology, we have more opportunities to make our lives comfortable and convenient than last century. Every coins has two sides, the more modern technology are created, the more problems we also will face.

2: it is conceivable that our cars need energy to start, need space to park and also need road to drive. The result of those requires is that we have less and less resources while get more and more tightly living space. Maybe there is one day, the crowed traffic make you unable to go to somewhere easily and you must to suffer rumble in nasty waste gas, how can you live along without being crazy. Of course, I can’t.

3: The traffic terrible is only one little part of our dirty world. No denying that hundred of thousands of factories are wreaking havoc on our environment. Look at our rivers, many of them are not clean any more. Contrary to the past, how ashamed to directly effluent waste water to rives. Look around, fish are lying on the river , they don’t animated any more. We can live without water, but if all the water over the world are polluted , if all of water are melting with many detrimental chemical elements , will you drink it happily?

4: the sky is no longer blue , instead of dirty. We breathe noxious air to our lung every day. From time to time , those noxious air can cause many illness in our body, Such as lung cancer. The polluted air absolutely push us to our death. I think it is horrible to know we are diving in waste air every day, but we have no choice to avoid that.

5: animals are going to leave us because we are invading their living space. We cut down trees, so birds lose their habitants. We exhausted our rivers, so fish no long exist here. As we all know , there are many kinds of sort have extinguished forever. Now we can’t see those graceful creatures that our ancestors had live with them for a long time. What a pity! One day our children may ask us what is lion or what is bird that is so common in our generation. Zoo become the only place where we can see animals in the future. We should feel guilty if those really happen.

6: Whatever based on any reasons, we can’t make progress at the expense of environment. Let’s protect our earth for ourselves, for our children. SO everyone should concern about environmental protection.

Video Game Can Be Bad For Us

  1. Nowadays, video game is very common and popular in the world. A lots of people like to play video game, but they dont know how to control it.
  2. First of all, video game can be fun, entertaining and sometimes educational. However, some games contain violence, sexual theme and strong language or something worse.
  3. I think everybody know the game called " GRAND THEFT AUTO" . It takes place in a liberty city and a fantasy world of criminals, prostitutes and guns. Players can rob, kill, drive wildly and gain points in the process. Its very bad for us especially children.

Cars effect the world

Let's talk about cars and human life.
  1. In the past 100 years, cars have become a staple of modern society, and it its impact has been considerable.
  2. With the invention of cars, people can travel more comfortable and convenient to destinations near or far.
  3. Trucks can carry more stuff than carriages, and automobile can more quickly.
  4. Car companies is the some of the largest companies in the world, employs millions of workers worldwide.
  5. Cars creat racing.racing is the most stimulus game in the world. It is the wonderful sport, but it is also very dangerous.
  6. Also, many significant problems have surfaced.
  7. Automobile exhaust pollute the air in metropolian areas around the world and thus create serious health problems. And cars also make so many accident.
  8. Then, cars need energy. Nowadays the problem of fossil fuel shortage will become an even more serious problem. But now we have solar cars, maybe can solve this problem.
  9. we must not only enjoy automobile conveniences, but we must also aim to reduce the problems it has caused.
  10. We should creat new energe and have some changes, and then the benefits of the automobile will outweigh the serious problem.

Modern technology

Nowadays , Technology is playing an important role in our living , working and sutding . but there are always some dispute or arguement on development of modern technology , How should us take regard with it? As I was natural science student before, I try to express some of my points and opinion about technology.

  1. First of all , Technology has brought much of convienence to our daily life. one of distinctive example is transportation. people living in several thousand years ago uesd to walk or run to a place. but now , we have invented advanced vehicles such as car , bus ,train and plane etc . we are able to travel around the world within few days .
  2. Secondly, with the inventation of light , we are no longer to lighting up by use of coal or rotating a wood bar and enjoy a bright world without any fear of darkness . therefore, There appears some city called as everbright , which means the lights in that city always keep open over day and night. those cities such as Hongkong , Tokyo are know for it's endless lighting.
  3. Furthermore, The advanced communication are also contributed to modern technology . space between each other is becoming more and more close and tourchable. some chatting programme like QQ, MSN and wedsites ----facebook , for example, are widly used to communicate with friends , classsmates and loves ones. In addition to chatting , some people even are working in home instead of company or wokplace etc . They just need to send E-mail to their boss everday.
  4. In regard of aerospace, we have achieved dreams of landing on moon , building our capulse, sending space rocket to explore new stars. As for my country , china, we have already sent a satelite ----Chang'E1 ,to moon to begin it's first trip on moon. I believe that we will have more knowledges and understanding about aerospace in the future, dependening on developed technology of space exploration.
  5. However, I think that the drawback and diaadvantages of technology is obviouse and apparent too. one of the big problem is misuse of medicine. The research of chemical and biological weapon would posed a great threaten to our human being. As increasing number of virus created for purpose of war , some of dangerous virus like SARS , RNA will definatly be putted in animal as research and it will potentially make a much stronger virus than it ever before. thus we, the human being , will face with a tough situation about fighting against variety of viruses .
  6. On the other hand . Envoromental pollution is still serious now. many white trash ---- plastic bag , water bottles and plastic cards have been thrown on the ground by people. It can not be decomposed by land and take negative effect on quality of soil . so it will be harmful to growth of corps.
  7. Additonally , Global warmth is another question to our live . cause behind global warmth are blame to some exhauseted gases , carbon dioxide CO2 sulfur dioxide SO2 etc . they will violate to ozonosphere so lead to warmth in world . if we consider all of ice moutain be melted into water, it will be a disaster to our world. because some of country will be submerged on this disaster.
  8. lastly , we are facing a lot of crimes on internet as IT is generating in our life. A new noun Hacker, become a great rival to trade online. they steal information from the trade so as to get money directly from their account.
  9. Sometimes, technology brings curses to our live . Nevertheless, It seams that we cannot live without technology as like Fish cannot live without water . Technology is quiet important for our human being in many ways.
  10. On the whole , I think question for us with regard to technology is not a matter whether it is beneficial or harmful to our life but a question how to maximize it's positive side and minimize it's negative effects.

How to Learn Math Well

How to Learn Math Well
Some students may think that they have no gene in logic so that it’s hard for them to learn math well. I don’t agree with them. There is no doubt that math is a subject which needs the ability to infer the conclusion from the condition which the question gives you, and that makes you to have a logical mind. However, it can be trained via your hardworking and your systemic summarize of learning math.
I’ve known that some of my friends can not learn math well because they have several bad habit. For instance, they usually like to look at the question for a long time but without any action. There is a saying that “Good memory is not as good as a blunt pencil”, it tells us that you need to practice and pay actions more than just thinking. Another suggestion is that you must have a high efficiency during the class, or you have to spend much more time than the one who listen to the teacher very carefully in the class. Nevertheless, a problem comes ------ how can I be effective in the class? I found some advices which were told to us by a Chinese teacher name Zhongxia Li (http://www.lunwentianxia.com/product.free.10006906.1/):
1. Do some preparations before the class begin.
The hardest thing you found in the preparation is the most important thing of the course. You’ll find it easy to the course if you have seen the questions before. Also you can practice your ability for comparing the knowledge and the main idea between what you thought before and what the teacher told you during the class. In addition, this method can improve your ability in analyzing the question.
2. The knack of listening to the class.
First of all, what you should do is to be ready for not only physically but also mentally. And you must pay all your attention to the words what your teacher will tell you, use your eyes, ears, hands, mouth and your heart so that what you learn in class will impress you so much.
3. Pay much attention to the beginning of the class and the end of the class.
When the class starts, the first thing shown to us generally is the content of what we’ll learn today, it’s like the chain which connect the old knowledge and the new knowledge in one system, the end of the class usually include the summarize of the knowledge which are told to us, it is highly recapitulative.
We can easily find out that without your hardworking you will never succeed in the math field. What I’m going to tell you is how to find interested in math.
It is said that a person who has a great interest in something can learn more faster than the one who has a less interest in the same field.
Einstein Albert once said “Interest is the best teacher”. That prove the idea of mine because I’m the one who has a lot of interest in math since my childhood. I used to be good at remember the number of the cars and the telephones, and good at counting and adding. When I grow up I find that I was interested in the machine such as model cars and guns, I tried to take the model apart so that I can know clearly about what was in the model. As I said ”you may have a lot of chances to find the interests for you in the math but most of time you missed it.” So you still have a huge number of opportunities to looking for, that’s what I want to tell you.
In conclusion, most of you are clever and genius in logic, maybe you can not dig your genius out yet. Don’t be worried, just trust you can. Hope this short essay can help you a little.

Sport management

1.This goes out to show everyone what subject I am interested in very, not maths, business but sport management.
2.Generally people always think that sport management just like a coach to manage how to do sports and I thought it was that before I read something.
3.After 1991,I know there are two famous guys called Micheal Jordan and David Stern. The first one was famous player and the last one is the CEO of NBA, and now both of the are good sport manager, and I will explain the reason as the following statement.
4.Sport management is not only like the coach to manage the team but also a successful business man. Therefore this course will tell people how to make profits by using everything that have relationship with sports.
5.When finished the study of this course, people can become a marketing manager, a coach, an agent of famous player and so on.
6.There are some examples of sport manager, firstly David Stern is a good example because he knew how to entire a huge market by using basketball and as the follower of him, lots of basketball player use there own logo's products entire Chinese market.
7.For example, Micheal Jordan has his own logo of sports sneakers and lots of Chinese boys love it. And also MJ buy some stock of Charlotte Bobcats.
8.Such a successful sport manager will use many kinds of sport to make their products such as NIKE to produce different shoes to make profit.
9.An other type of sport manager is like coach or teachers, because the course also have to tell student how to do sports well without harm.
10.Above all, this is my blog eassy, and sorry to publish this late.

Why there are more and more international students come to American study nowadays?

  1. Nowadays more and more student from all over the world decides to study abroad. Why they would like to study abroad, far away from their parents, far away from their close friends, far away from all their familiar things, but not just stay at their home country study in a familiar college?

  2. This is a question which our American friends always ask us, also this is always a question come to my mind when I am thinking alone.

  3. We can have a better quality life if we just study at home country, and stay with our parents. But we choose the way to study far away from family.

  4. First, I think most of us study abroad for the better future life or a better career when we graduate from university. Most times we can get a better job if we are the people who return to home country after oversea study, or if we can get a job abroad may even better.

  5. Like many friend of my father, they go abroad for study, they study hard and they got a job in America, they got a much better quality life.

  6. Secondly, I think many of us study abroad because they don’t like the education system or education style in their home country. They like the American style, the more open, more democratic, more diversity education style, they think the American style education much more helpful for them, they can learn much better in American than in their home country.

  7. The third of all, a little part of us just want to escape from their past. May be they not feel happy in their home country; they run away just want have a happy life, a better life in future. This is also a kind of reason that why they decide to study aboard.

  8. There are still many other reasons that make more and more people decide to study far away from their home. Even every student in our class may have many individual reasons to make us made the same choice to study abroad.

  9. Whatever why you guys made this same decision as me, I think we all made a good decision. We will not regret for this decision.

  10. Hope we all can have a happy life in our American study period.

What is the most difficult language in the world?

  1. People talk about this topic quite often. We have Arabic, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Who speaks the most difficult language?
  2. First of all, no language is difficult as the first language. Every child can master her/his native language no matter what the language she/he speaks. In this sense, it might be meaningless to discuss which language is more or less difficult.
  3. Second of all, each language has a different difficulty in each skill. For example, Korean is fairly easy to write; however, they have a really difficult system of honorific expressions. You have to distinguish many ways of expressions depending upon who you are talking to.
  4. Regarding Chinese, they have tons of characters. In addition, Chinese is a tonal language. This means, depending upon how you tone a word, the meaning differs. I believe there are at least four tones in Chinese (or more). However, their grammar is fairly easy.
  5. I don't know much about Arabic. Arabic writing seems daunting, but it might be so complicated once you learn it. I think the hardest part in Arabic is its variation. Even if you learn the formal Arabic, that is not enough. You need to learn a dialect.
  6. Third of all, if you are learning a language, how difficult a language is depends on your first language. For the Japanese, Korean and Chinese are easier to learn because we share so many features in common. One research showed that the Japanese need only half of time to learn Korean compared to English. However, Korean is often regarded as one of the most difficult languages for English speakers.
  7. Similarly, Spanish and French are fairly easy for English speakers. But they are as difficult as English for Asians. Not only Korean but also Chinese and Japanese are also difficult ones to learn for English speakers.
  8. So the answer to the question: what is the most difficult language in the world can not be single. It depends on how you take a look at a language.
  9. Still, English does not seem to be one of the difficult languages in the world. That may be why lots of people choose to use English for communication, and we end up by learning it.
  10. This is an interesting site to take a look at. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardest_language) Although Wiki is not really trustable, if you believe in this article, Koreans (so, AJ) should be proud to be able to handle the most(?) difficult language in the world!
