1. As a survey indicates, most of international students hope and plan to get a job during they study in university. They think it could reduce the financial burden of parents. I don't know how many of you want to apply for a job on campus. In my opinion, applying a job on campus is a good choice.
2. Actually, a university stand for a small society, there is all kinds of departments of serving students. Besides, A variety of group around us. We have a lot of chance to choose a job that we like. Such as tutor, assistant, waiter, cleaner and guide and so on.
3. Especially as a foreigner. Owning an experience of work is good for us. First of all, you could have more chance to communicating with native speaker.
4. Secondly, you could learn much knowledge about your job, such as vocabulary, new expressions and some skills of work. Further more, you could get lots of culture and customs through working with your partners.
5. Thirdly, work can make full use of spare time. If you get a job, you don't have extra time to playing games, so it can avoid waste too much time on game.
6. However, some people might be question that work occupied a great deal of learning time. It affects the normal learning. Actually it might be affects your learning, but it can remind you that you don't have much time. I think that it could facilitate your learning, let you in a shorter period of time to complete the homework. It could make your learning more efficient.
7At last. You might be facing all kinds of problem from your job. You deal with these problems so that improving your ability of solving problem. It is a good experience for your future job.
8. Except above of these, we can get a lump sum of money to spend for our daily. Although we could not get so much money from this job, it enough to spend for our daily. Everyone knows that live and study in the United States is not a small amount of expenditure.
9. We could challenge ourself through work. It not only can get money but also can exercise ourself.Life need challenge to enrich. We also need to enhance their own through challenge.
10. If you want to get a job in cafeteria immediately, you can go to human being resource service office which is located in every cafeteria to apply a job.

Work on campus is a challenge for us.However, work on campus is also good for international student,it really has a good enviroment for learning English and exercises to ourselves.

International student can not work off-campus with out SNN. If someone want to get a job in on-campus, they need to get SNN by school.
However,in my opinion, if student get a job and they study hard,and it will be okay. Some students just want to make a money for shopping or something else like Promiscuous life. It isn't good for student.My friends work at the cafeteria in MSU. They said they didn't get a lot of money, but it is an good experience so they are happy to doing their work.I also doing babysitting and tutoring.
I am really happy and I feel good when I work because it is make me independent!

Working on campus provides a oppotunity to get the experience. The purpose of working is not earning money. I think that it is so interesting to have a job. I can know a lot about which I can't get from other places. I do apply for the job now.

ReplyDeleteIn Japan, most university students have a part time job. I did, too.
Working bring a lot of profit to us. We can meet many people. We can learn many things from their. We also get skills for our future.
However, it is fact that some students do not study hard because of their job. I think this is not good. The most important job for students is studying. We have to get along with both of studying and jobs.
I plan to get a job as well. But before I decide whether work on campus or not , I would like to make a time schedule so that the part time job is eligible for me without any disturb on studing. After all , I think that studing is the most important thing for me right now.

I AGREE WITH YOU THAT WORK EXPERIENCE IS PRECIOUS EVEN FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS. HAVING SAID THAT, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN JAPAN NOW (OR HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A LONG TIME) IS THEY WORK A LOT TO GET MONEY AND HAVE NO TIME TO STUDY. EVENTUALLY, THEY DROP COURSES AND STOP GOING TO SCHOOL. IN THE END, THEY DROP OUT OF SCHOOL. I ALSO WORKED WHILE IN COLLGE, BUT NOT MUCH. PARTLY BECAUSE I BELONGED TO TENNIS CLUB AND WAS THE CAPTAIN. YOU CAN LEARN A LOT OF THINGS IN COLLGE THAT YOU CANNOT LEARN THROUGH WORK. SO IF YOU HAVE THINGS TO DO ON CAMPUS, IT MIGHT BE BETTER TO STICK TO THEM.
My opinion of this topic is that to work on campus is a good thing for us, especially for the international student to improve their ability when they are in a society.

I agree with you that living and studing in the United States is quite a huge amount of expenditure. From my perspective, working on campus is not a good way to earn money for living, but a good try to gain experience, even being as volunteers without payback. We are freshmen this year, there is lots of things we do not familar with but need to know. No pay no gain, I'm happy to find a job on campus in the near future. It is really a good for everyone who strongly tend to make friends.

ReplyDeleteI got a job in a cafeteria on campus,now i just wait for my SSN. The purpose that I want to find a job is to ecperience life. Meeting new friends, learning how to make cakes and practicing language to talk with people.

I agree with you. Of cause working experience is so inmportant for us in several aspects. I always work in my long holiday. And i feel the money we earned is not the most important thing, but the exoerience we went through. For my major, finance, working experience is also the big one on my self report when i aplly a job after gruanduat.
