Actualy there are a bunch of them in United States, and I agree with you, that is just a piece of junk. And they called: Mordern Art or American Art. You may wondery how it become art? It is kind of inaccurate if I just say “Mordern Art is just American Art”, in more rigorous way: from the root, modern art is a kind of “American Art”, because excpt the logic of art, the formation, develpoment and establish were all made by United State. It is contrled by USA, and represent the culture and spirit of USA.
“Modern Art” was the 60’s American Art which confirmated by international. At that time, American new art rolled sweep Europe. It was just like the Soviet Union seted up the “Kominform” to displace “Kominter”, 1950, USA Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) setted up “Congress for Cultural Freedom”. Then CIA start their war of culture. To fight bake the culture propaganda of Sovet Union, Unite state did good on “Culture War” or “Psywar”.
From 1950 to 1979, CIA have used a huge mount of money frome over 160 foudations and the Marshall Plan, to do everything that they can to public the “American Art” and “American Culture”. Firstly is the abstract expressionism, then they seted Pop Art, Action Art, Minimolist, Idea, Equipment, Conception and other “Amrican style” as the main current of Modren art.
It is obviously, what CIA have done is cleverly made American art to become Modern Art. Which is mean, they won the war of the art because American Art have already became the modern current.
And let us see what is the “Amercian Style Art”. It stress darily which means life is art and art is life. They try to confuse the border of art then every one can be art and everthing can be art too. For example, an exhibition can be a pig lot, a Belgian seteed a pig lot at the 10th Documenta In Kassel. And he said it is an Action Art. An exhibition can be a garden. Two Swiss P.Fischi and D.Weiss went to a sculpture Exhibition in German, they arrived few month befroe it started and planted vegiess around the exhibition building. And they called the plants are sculpture. I have to say it is quite funny and creative, but I can not say anything about art from it.
CIA also used their big mount of money to let “art” became art. They started the Art business in this way: thoese who do Amercian style will become famous and successful, thoses who do the classic is hard to say. Then in 1960’s a big number of Amercian style Art apperanced. Include the famous moder artist Jackson Pollock. Let’s take a look of his art:

ReplyDeleteI really, really love art. Actually, I wanted go to art college. Especially I love to make something creative stuff. Anything!
However, some art picture cost more then 100 millions dollar. When you see that picture, you will think how this picture can be 100 millions dollar. Some people can think that picture is a piece of junk, but each art picture has meaning and symbol. I hope everyone can enjoy of art world like me!:-)

I think we can see this kind of "art" in every corner of the world, not just America.
I do not think these are art. Even little children can draw these pictures. I cannot understand that USA spent a lot of money for these art.

In my memory, I always thought artists have some magic power. They can show every things in the art way, which the other ordinary people can not understand. I have attemped to practice painting, but failed.

ReplyDeletesurely, they look like some pieces of junks, but just because of their massive looks, i think i can do it easily when i was a child. However, i know what it really is.
I think that these are probably abstract modern arts for me. I don't interested in this field of art. So I don't know much about them but they looks very ugly and messy. It is a kind of art which need people look into the art in a special way so as to understand the meaning of these pictures.
ReplyDeleteActually, I do not know what that art is. They really confuse me. I always think that it must have some mysterious factors in this kind of art. Since it exist, it must have some reasons. It is famous and precious why there is few people can understand it. We do not have to judge whether it is art or not. Art is art, to enjoy it.

ONE OF MY AUNTS IS AN ARTIST; SHE HAS GOT SOME PRIZES IN EXHIBITIONS. THE WORST OF ALL, SHE IS AN IMPRESSIONIST. THEREFORE, HER DRAWINGS DO NOT MAKE SENSE TO ANY OF MY RELATIVES (PROBABLY EXCPET HER HUSBAND). I NEVER LIKED ART, HAVING A LOW GRADE IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN ART. I THINK IT IS DIFFICULT TO QUANTIFY ART AS EACH PERSON HAS A DIFFERENT SENSE OF VALUE. I CAME TO HATE ART BECAUSE I DID NOT ENJOY IT IN SCHOOL. THAT SOUNDS LIKE A FAILURE OF EDUCATION.
