1. I know there are a lot of circus groups in China. There are some circus groups in Japan, too. I have seen some of them. I’m sorry AJ. I have not seen Korean one, but I think Korean one is also great. However, the most favorite group is “Cirque du soleil.”
2. Have you ever seen “Cirque du soleil?” This is the most famous entertainment group in the world. "Cirque du soleil" was established in Canada in 1984. The name “Cirque du soleil” is French, and it means “circus of the sun.” This is not just circus. They mix circus, art, opera and rock music.
3. We saw the movie about a problem of animal acrobatics in Nobi’s class. It was terrible, wasn’t it? However, they do not use any animal acrobatics. They fascinate with people by human acrobatics only.
4. Their performance is very characteristic. Each show is a synthesis of circus styles from around the world, such as western style circus and eastern style circus. Additionally, the show has own central theme and storyline. They draw the audience into the performance through live music and stagehands changing the props.
5. They became popular soon since Cirque du soleil was established. Especially, they expanded rapidly through the 1990s and 2000s. Now, cirque du soleil has more than 4000 employees from over 40 countries.
6. We can watch their performance all over the world. There are own theaters in the US, China and Japan. In addition, they do tour show all over the world.
7. Surprisingly, they will come to MSU on next March and April. The name of performance which they will perform is “Alegría.” This name means “joy” in Spanish. It expresses spending time and changing society.
8. You can purchase tickets on the Internet now. If you are interested in this show, why don’t you go to watch it?

Cirque du soleil, I have never seen this group ever before. But, thank you for the introduction. I have learnt a lot about the circus group. In fact, I like to watch circus performance without annimal involved. I feel bad for those aninmal which have been cruel treated. I am sympathetic with circus animal in many ways.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was young, I liked seeing the circus very much. They are so attractive to a young girl. However, I don't know I am getting more and more not interested in it. Maybe I have lost the childishness.
ReplyDeleteActually, I have seen a lot of performance like circus. In china, this kind of art is very popular. A city is called hometown of acrobatics which is named wuqiao in henan province. Some people says that anyone can play acrobatics in that city. It is really amazing. What's more, I like to watch acrobatics, because it let you feel thrilling.
ReplyDeleteWow, i realy like the style of their dressing. The man's body shape is so strong. I think all of those criquers are very strong in physical and balance. Then they can do all of those incredible pose. From the first sinem i could not guess which contry are they from, but since you say they are jappaness, I was suprise and i have to say Japaness are really pronfashional in a lot of field. I will go to watch it with my friend, and i hope their tickets are not so expensive. Thanky for your information!

This is very interesting. I have not seen it before, but from you describtion, I can see that it is very worth for me to watch it. Circuses are widely spread in China, but I dont agree that they use animals to make fun to people, that is very rude and impolite. It is very serious problem that we should think about.

I MUST HAVE BEEN TO A CIRCUS WHEN I WAS YOUNG. BUT IT IS SO OLD THAT I DON'T REMEMBER ANY ANY MORE. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS GROUP. IT IS NOT VERY DIFFICULT TO GO TO SEE A SHOW LIKE THIS WITH A BABY. MAYBE WHEN I AM OLD AND MY SON IS INDEPENDENT, I MAY BE ABLE TO GO IF IT STILL EXISTS THEN.
