1. "we wish you a merry Christmas;"
"we wish you a merry Christmas;"
"we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year..."
Are you familiar with this song? Can anybody sing it~ "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" is a popular secular sixteenth-century English carol from the West country of England. The song is often parodied. Have you felt the changing of the weather turning to be colder recently, with the trick-or-treat Halloween is leaving, a most popular welcome festival is coming to us, that is Christmas, also referred to as Christmas Day. - -`

2.

It is unknown whether this day is Jesus' actual date of birth, and the date of celebration may have been chosen. Christmas is celebrated throughout the Christian population, but is also celebrated by many non-Christians as a secular, cultural festival. Because gift-giving and several other aspects of the holiday involve heightened economic activity between both Christians and non-Christians, Christmas has become a major event for many retailers.

3. In many cultures, a winter festivals is the most attractive and popular festival in people's mind. Thanks to the fact that less agricultural works need to be done during the winter days, as well as an expectation of beautiful spring seem to be close coming. Christmas is a festival which comes up after the harvest season, and people all have prepared well for this special innovative festival. There will be a series of customs in Modern Christmas, such as gift-giving, merrymaking, greenery, lights, charity, and various foods.

4. Christmas cannot be Christmas without any decorations. The Christmas tree, which is one of the casual but important thing that can be seen colorful especially in the night, is often explained as a of pagan tradition and ritual surrounding the Winter Solstice. Besides that, the poinsettia, a native plant from Mexico has been associated with Christmas since 19th century. Christmas cards are also the specials Christmas, they are generally commercially designed and purchased for the occasion, many cards expressing the best wishes among humans. 5. I love Christmas, I love the atmosphere in that special season which happiness can be found everywhere. Children, lovers, olders and little animals are being covered by the lovely snow. The whole world becomes silent, seems that everything stop its breathing and waiting for the coming happiness. It reminds me a poem which written by Trade Martin:
"Christmas Oh Christmas
How we love you oh Christmas
You’re a day so sweet and kind
When we leave the past behind
And enjoy the hope you bring
To our hearts and our minds
Christmas Oh Christmas
How we love you oh Christmas"

I make a wish in advance, I hope everybody will enjoy this "freshman" Christmas ! lol

Camparing, Christmas is more like Tranditional chinese new year for western people. At the time of Christmas, family members get together and have the eva dinner together. Then kids get thier gifts for the year, it is much like the "money in red pocket" in the traditonal in chinese new year. Anyway, i like it very much, becasue it makes mee fell worm when I am being in a foreigh contry.

  6. I'm looking forward the Christmas. Unfortunately, I need to go back to China this winter. However, some of Chinese celebrate Christmas by having a good meal and buying a Christmas tree, and then decorate it. We usually give other Christmas gifts, but not in socks. You can feel that the Christmas is all around you when you walk on the street. We do not for some religon reasons, just for fun.

  7. Christmas is the most important festival in America. American people start to decorate their house and buy gifts for their family and love. I really want a christmas present. Chinese people do not celebrate the festival as a traditonal way as American. BUT my mom will take me and my grandpa for trip. That is my big gift.
    Everyone enjoy the Christmas. ~~~

  10. I am looking forward for christmasday this year as well. I think that christmas day is fairly an important part of life in US just as the importance of spring festival in china. People can get together and share happiness and news between each other. So it is a good opportunity for me to learn the traditional festival of America.

ONLY CHRISTIANS SHOULD CARE ABOUT CHRISTMAS. ACTUALLY JEWISH DO NOT CELEBRATE IT. SOMEHOW IN JAPAN, MANY PEOPLE CELEBRATE IT NO MATTER WHAT GOD THEY BELIEVE IN. SO GYMS ARE OPEN ON THE 24TH AND 25TH OF DECEMBER EVERY YEAR. THEREFORE, I ALWAYS COACHED TENNIS ON THOSE DAYS. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE AND NOW I NEED TO CELEBRATE IT FOR MY SON...
